United in Music: ESYO's 30th Anniversary Tour from the Balkans to Brussels
Thanks to the support of the Department of Cultural and Tourism Policies of the Municipality of Trieste, co-organizer of the tour, 13 young musicians from ESYO, hailing from Italy, Albania, North Macedonia, and Serbia, will meet on October 27 in Belgrade to prepare the musical program for their concerts scheduled between November 1 and 8 in the Serbian capital, Rijeka, and Brussels.
With the tour "United Together, from the Balkans to Brussels," the young musicians of ESYO, led by Maestro Igor Coretti Kuret, who, as the great violinist Yehudi Menuhin described them, are “the connective tissue of our humanity and bearers of the message of understanding, compassion, and love, generating vibrations that no barrier can stop, and who, through their music-making, exhibit a joy that can only arise from goodwill and trust among people from diverse backgrounds,” will also give voice to those who do not have one. By playing the instruments of the Orchestra of the Sea, constructed in Italian prisons from the wood of migrant boats stranded in Lampedusa, provided for the occasion by the Foundation of Spirit and Arts chaired by Arnoldo Mosca Mondadori, and accompanied by the narrative voice of Paolo Rumiz, they will bring the endless tragedy affecting humanity, always provoked by wars, to the attention of European public opinion.
